In the heart of Winter, Are three cold, cold trees. They’ve lost their coats of stealth and lies now, As they lift their naked, atoning branches to the sky, Goosebumps rising up their trunks.
So then I said goodbye to my rejection, to my loneliness, bruised pride, walked away and left my broken robot on the table.
I’m so glad I didn’t leave it like that then, it’s so much more better now but without the then, how can there be now?
When I look at the trees dancing with the light and curtsying to the wind, I cannot help but think they are so much more alive than the jaded jewels we compare them with. Just a thought.
