Quotes that keep on nigging

Hello! It’s been a while since my last post, you’d think that I would have more free time during winter break than I do during the school term but it’s turning out to be quite the opposite.

What are your favourite book quotes? (Usually one of my not-so-successful conversation starters) Why are they your favourite? Are they from a particular book, or do they describe what you’re feeling exactly? Are they just beautiful? Do they trigger fond memories or just get under your skin and nig at you all day long? I reckon I’ve got quotes that fit into all of these catergories.

Please share your favourite quotes; to crack a laugh, have a discussion, to release a sigh or just an inside joke, I’d love to hear them!

Hope everyone is well and life is good. πŸ™‚

About everburningcinders

So so...where to start? Well, for starters, I can say that I'm one of those kinds of people that don't care about their hair, or desperately need another pair of shoes. In fact, if you see me, you wouldn't notice me at all. I'm just the shadow, sticking to the walls, head buried in a book or eyes glazed over in a daydream. I want to be listened to and I want to be appreciated. My moral in life: Life is life. Believe in it and suck it up. I look forward to meetin' ya all!

  1. lisadesmedt says:

‘Thus conscience does make cowards of us all’ a quote from Shakespeare’s Hamlet’s famous soliloquy. That whole magnificent peace of literature I find very intriguing but this particular line always finds it way to the center of my mind.

  2. I love your door of quotes! Part of my job (I work for a US consulate) is to publish a weekly newsletter for the community. Each week I include a literary quote that fits thematically with what is going on at work/in the country. I don’t know how many people take the time to read them, but I love finding them each week!

Please let me know what you think ;)
