Kiss Kiss

Kiss Kiss

Hey guys! This is my contribution for Picture it and Write this week, I admit I’m ashamed of missing out in the past few weeks because of my tardiness and busy schedule. But here I am! I really enjoyed writing this light piece of fluff, a way of lifting off some of the heavy historical fiction I’ve been currently reading. Hope your days are going well! πŸ™‚

Kiss Kiss

I don’t understand kissing.

As a thirteen year old, I think that’s understandable.

All my friends do it though.

They say they like it.

Why?

I like to keep my saliva to myself, thankyou very much.

Isn’t that what kissing is?

A clumsy painful smack on the lips,

Just sucking each other’s germs?

You might as well spit into each other’s mouths.

I have enough to deal with anyways.

I’m thirteen.

I’m young.

My whole career is more important than kiss-

Wait! Where are you going?

I’m not done talking yet.

Hey! Don’t go!

Oh. Did I hurt your feelings?

You want a kiss as a sorry?

Ha! I’m joking of course.

But maybe.

Just maybe I’ll give it a go.

Not now!

Way off in the future, I mean.

Yeah, I think it might be okay-

If it’s with you.

About everburningcinders

So so...where to start? Well, for starters, I can say that I'm one of those kinds of people that don't care about their hair, or desperately need another pair of shoes. In fact, if you see me, you wouldn't notice me at all. I'm just the shadow, sticking to the walls, head buried in a book or eyes glazed over in a daydream. I want to be listened to and I want to be appreciated. My moral in life: Life is life. Believe in it and suck it up. I look forward to meetin' ya all!

Nice with the spit-swapping interpretation! I like the playful turn-around at the end. I missed this part of childhood innocence. My BF kissed me good-bye when we were 10 and I just stuck my tongue in his mouth cuz I thought I was supposed to. Turned out to be pretty fun. Who knew?

way in the future is a good decision. πŸ™‚
