Hey guys, this is just something I fished out (please ignore the bad pun) and thought you might like it. Again, it’s in limerick style, which I really enjoy writing in. In the future I will start experimenting with other styles of poetry so please look forward to it!
Splashing in the dim-lit shallows,
Speckles of silver, mottled brown and gold
Skimming across the water top,
Eyes that are alluring and cold.
Sleek, shimmering, hypnotizing,
Travelling in groups of a million
Pink, slimy flesh,
Enjoyed by a civilian.
Draped in a rosy hue,
Shimmering delicately in the sunlight
Brandishing its scarlet tail,
Teeth that can give such a good fright.
Trout, salmon, and snappers
Many different fish to name
But all of them are beautiful
That is the same
